What do dairy farmers get for their milk?

During our #Februdairy campaign, we observed untrue and misleading information being shared across social media with claims that farmers were making excessive profits.

We analysed published average milk prices and production costs, calculating an approximate hourly wage for dairy farmers engaged in milking operations.

Our campaign achieved significant reach, with the content appearing to be a passionate subject for the farming industry and reaching over 55,000 people's feeds within 24 hours.

Given dairy farmers' small hourly wages, waste reduction is critical. Silage inoculant products help farmers retain more harvested material, enhance feeding value, and minimise dry matter losses - making every tonne of forage count.
